Here's the deal: Every project needs mastering. It's the final step in making great music. A great mix can be killed by mastering or it can be enhanced to the next level. Not only is it a third party with fresh ears to evaluate the mix sonics, it's the feel, punch, and impact of the songs.

If you are on a tight budget, I can and would prefer to master your project. I can achieve professional results with out breaking the bank. Most full length Cds can be completed for under $400. I charge a flat fee for mastering based on the number of songs, so you can focus on the music instead of the clock during the session. Your project will get the attention it deserves. There is no hurry at BRS, I listening through the entire song many times to find the appropriate settings and parameters. I work with you to achieve the final sound. I do this for each song. Sometimes the smallest tweak can make have a big impact, and you'll never know unless you take the time and try all options. Most sessions last all day. Bring your lab coat. Prepare to be impressed.

So what about gear? I use Apogee 24-bit converters and high sample rates throughout the mastering chain. All audio cable is Mogami. I use two highly modified channel strips in my console for analog EQ with tube line amps on the channel inserts. Summing is with Inward Connections Class A discrete SPA690 amp blocks which is routed directly to the Apogee A/D converter. Once in the digital domain, the songs are sequenced and optimized for equal volume perception. Additional editing, compression and equalization can also be applied if necessary.
